About Relay

Relay For Life is a unique fundraising event where teams camp out overnight and team members take turns walking around a track or designated path to raise funds for the fight against cancer. The event is 24 hours in length and each team is asked to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. Cancer patients don't stop because they're tired, and for one night, neither do we.Kenya Cancer Association is also a current licensed partner with the American Cancer Society’s Global Relay For Life program. In Africa, we are priveleged to be one of three organisations that is licensed to organise and host this event. We bring communities together to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers, and raise money to help the Kenya Cancer Association make a national impact on cancer. In 2019, we hosted the sixth edition of Relay For Life Kenya the KICC on September 28th and 29th. Other than matching round the track, entertainment and other fun activities, there was also free cancer screening services available for all who attended.

That those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.

Being a fundraising event we raise funds through volunteer teams, you can start your own team or join an existing one, the funds drive culminates in the main Relay for Life event
