Cancer Education & Awareness
Literacy remains one of the most effective tool to empower those who are powerless. As an organization we aim at improving general knowledge around cancer with supporting evidence to reduce stigma associated, premature deaths from the disease and increase improvements in quality of life and cancer survival rates.
Our aim is to influence cancer policies and control legislation implementation practices at a local level that strengthen commitment towards cancer plans with dedicated funding, for risk reduction and control activities, surveillance and research, monitoring and evaluation and patient support. This is guided by the Republic of Kenya Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation and Ministry of Medical Services National Cancer Control Strategy 2011 – 2016.
Research and Surveillance
Influencing community involvement and participation in improving cancer surveillance and research will foster a culture of health. Research and cancer surveillance is a fundamental element for foundation for advocacy and policy development.
Patient and Caregivers Support
One of the most distressing problems cancer patients may face, both during and after treatment is support. Whether it is emotional, psychological we offer caring, peer support, tools access assistance for cancer patients.
