KENCANSA improves the quality of a patient’s life by ensuring that they get correct and timely information for cancer management. This includes referrals and linkages to care, treatment and support groups. We ensure that patients get access to affordable medical care.
Under this project we provide patients undergoing chemotherapy at Kenyatta national Hospital with healthy meals twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays. Currently we have been able to provide 700 meals monthly to patients undergoing chemotherapy on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Under this project we facilitate the acquisition of NHIF cards for cancer patients to ensure that they get access to affordable medical care. This is inline with our vision of a Kenya without cancer.
Under this project we provide prosthesis, wigs and other accessories that cancer patient reequire. In addition we also offer psychosocial support in form of counselling to help patients and their families better cope with the situation.
