About Relay For Life

Relay is a unique team fundraising event where teams camp out overnight and team members take turns walking around a track or designated path to raise funds for the fight against cancer.The event is 24 hours in length and each team is asked to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. Cancer patients don't stop because they're tired, and for one night, neither do we.The event is an opportunity for communities to Celebrate cancer survivors, Remember loved ones lost, and Fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. This event is a franchise of the American Cancer Association and is happens annually all over the world. In Africa we are priveleged to be one of three organisations that is licensed to organise and host this event

The Teams


That those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.


Being a fundraising event we raise funds through volunteer teams, you can start your own team or join an existing one, the funds drive culminates in the main Relay for Life event to be held on 29th September 2018. This event is open to members of public, cancer survivors, caregivers and other stakeholders


You can support the Relay for Life cause either by volunteering at the event, attending as a supporter of the cause, or donating to the cause.
